The Marty brand is the cherished child of Martypet s.r.o., a pioneering Czech company that, in 2016, developed a unique method of meat sterilization which requires absolutely no additives: no preservatives, no stabilizers, not even thickeners!
During sterilization (at 121 °C and more), the moisture from the meat turns into vapour which would tear the can apart. To prevent this, most manufacturers treat the meat with gelatine which absorbs the moisture and keeps it from evaporating. Martypet s.r.o., however, came up with a method that eliminates the use of ALL additives.
As a result, Marty cans contain nothing but 100 % pure meat (the Signature line offers even whole beef steaks or chicken quarters) in its succulent natural juice.
